ABOUT DR VALERIE TAY

Dr Valerie Tay is a renowned Senior Consultant Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) Surgeon based in Singapore, with an unwavering dedication towards helping her patients live their best lives. A specialist in her field, she has special interests in managing breathing and sleep problems, septorhinoplasty, facial plastic surgery, facial nerve palsy, and facial rejuvenation.

VISION

At the heart of Dr Tay's practice is her patient-centric approach. SUBSPECIALTY TRAINING

Dr Tay is also known for her unique positioning in the field of ENT, using her skill set to bridge the gap between aesthetics and functional problems for patients, with both breathing/snoring problems and nasal deformities. Her advanced sub-speciality training in Facial Plastic Surgery at the reputed Navi Plastic Surgery Clinic, Seoul, South Korea, has given her the foundation to adopt an approach to septorhinoplasty that effectively addresses both form and function.

To provide a holistic approach to patient care, Dr Tay established the first Facial Palsy Clinic in Singapore, providing comprehensive care to facial palsy patients.

Her term as President of the ENT Society enabled her to direct the educational activities available for the ENT specialists in Singapore, in the spirit of enhancing the delivery of patient care by the fraternity at large.

As the current President of the Association of Women Doctors, she uses her voice and platform to advocate for other women doctors who often face unique challenges in their career.

While in TTSH as a senior consultant in the Otolaryngology Department, she was a core faculty member of the NHG residency program, which was integral to their training and development as specialists.

Even now, in private practice, Dr Tay often shares her expertise at local and international conferences, and trains other doctors during workshops and courses for both minimally invasive and surgical procedures.

Aside from her professional life, Dr Tay is passionate about fitness, food, and baking, believing these are essential ingredients for a healthy, well-rounded life.

Languages spoken include English and Mandarin.
